Blank Periodic Table:
- elements 1-18: Atomic number and symbol in the squares
- write the element names on the blanks below and on the back
- Add the other elements that you did for your project (just atomic # and symbol are fine)
- Label Alkali and Alkaline earth metals (Groups 1 & 2, write the words above the groups)
- Label the Transition Metals (above groups 3-12)
- Designate metalloids by either shading or outlining the squares

Do the "Dating Fossils" activity that you received in class yesterday (w/s 24).
Read the directions carefully.
The 'fossil names' page is for you to cut apart and make it easier to arrange them, but is optional and can be discarded when finished. (Hint: using a separate piece of paper, divide and label the 5 layers, then use the clues to arrange and rearrange the fossils until all criteria are met)
The finished product: the fossil key, goes in your journal, colored neatly (Journal entry #27: Dating Fossils)
